Thank you to all those who came out to the 3rd Annual Penguin Plunge and Paddle. The warm weather and cool water attracted over 260 participants and helped to raise over $3000 for Fisher House of the Emerald Coast, Inc., making this year’s event the largest in attendance and money raised since the event began in 2010. The check will be presented to Fisher House of the Emerald Coast, Inc. at 3PM on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Sailors’ Grill on Navarre Beach.
50 participants competed in the Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) competition, which was new to the event this year. For SUP Results click here. Another 160 braved the cold water of Santa Rosa Sound as “penguins” and took the plunge while hundreds of “chickens” watched.
